How to be underweight without killing yourself
So, I promised I would make a post about weight loss advice, and I’m doing it! If yall are interested, my last post was about losing weight without looking like shit. Look it up on my blog.
So, here we go.
I’m gonna give it to you straight, so if you like sugarcoating, I may not be your role model.
As always, I’d like to make some premises:
• This advice works only for not extremely underweight, because it is not physically possible to fucking have a BMI of 15 without dying. Anybody who claims otherwise, is fucking lying.
• I do not promote starving yourself in the long run, I only really like thin bodies on girls, including myself, and I believe most people can achieve a skinny look and mantain it because my fucking experience says so.
So, here is my advice:
• Try to eat between 800 and 1200 kcal a day. Yes, I know you feel like such a good girl for only eating 100 calories, but this will probably make you binge, or result in weight loss that doesn’t last at all. I’ll make a post about mantaining weight loss, but just please recall you will HAVE to fucking start and eat some more, after the diet’s over. So, if you kill your metabolism, you will eventually a) end up in a clinic, or b) gain it all back. Pretty stupid, don’t you think?
• PROTEINS. I cannot stress this enough. 30% of your calories have to come from proteins, unless you want to look like a blob. If you wanna look toned, you have to eat proteins, no way around that. This is how you calculate it: (amount of calories you eat) divided by 100, then you multiply your results by 30, and divide the result by 4 (there are 4 calories in a gram of protein). E.g: 1200: 100 = 120. 120×30= 360. 360÷4= 90 grams of protein per day.
• How much fat?
Unlike what you might think, fat is a very important macronutrient, and cutting it completely out will wreck your hormones and make you feel like shit, probably resulting in binges. You don’t have to eat a ton of it: 20 % of your calories from fat is sufficient. Again,use the same method of calculation as seen above.
• Carbs: everything that’s left. It has been proven that carbs are really beneficial to our organism.
• Weight loss is literally ONLY calories in - calories out. There’s no way around it. There’s no trendy way of eating that will make you MAGICALLY drop pounds. Raw vegan? Still have to restrict calories. Carnivore? Still have to restrict calories. Keto? Low carb? Paleo? Whateverfuckingstupiddiet? STILL HAVE TO RESTRICT CALORIES TO LOSE WEIGHT. CALORIES MATTER. THE LAWS OF PHYSICS STILL WORK.
• Don’t drink caffeine on an empty stomach. I’m fucking serious on this. It will hurt SO. BAD.
• Actually don’t chug down 5+ ljters of water a day if you are sedentary. This is fucking dangerous. You might die of elecrolyte imbalance if you simultaneously restrict nutrients AND drink tons of water. Look it up. If you’re not working out,you don’t need more than 3 liters a day. I assure you.
• SLEEP. Seriously. Do.
• Don’t drink your calories! Unless you plan on sobstituting a meal for a juice, you’re probably better off without non-filling, liquid calories.
• Lift!
No, it will not make you bulky, unless you eat too much. You know why? Because LAWS OF PHYSICS. You cannot gain weight on a calorie deficit. It will NOT happen.
On the other hand, it WILL help you stay toned, and not lose your muscle mass.
